#FlowerYogisFlow – JUST BREATHE!

Happy Monday, Amigos!

Today, I bring you a simple and easy flow to relieve the stress and negative energy in your life. It’s been pretty tough for me to feel like myself and have high energy throughout the day these past few weeks. While with my kiddos the other day, I realized that as adults, we forget to slow down and take it easy sometimes. It’s easy for children to recognize when they need to slow down. They either get cranky and take a nap or simply sit and play quietly.

Being an adult is hard, no joke! And I’m sure all responsible adults out there, parents or not, can agree with me when I say, sometimes, we just need a break! In the midst of all the chaos going on in our lives, we forget to BREATHE. It’s a simple stress relieving technique that we can all do at any time of the day to help ourselves, but we tend to forget.

Holding in our stress or not doing anything to release that stress can cause more damage than good to this world. We need happy and healthy humans roaming the streets to make a positive impact on this world. Everything is a ripple effect. If we leave the house stressed, we may become angry and rude to a stranger by accident without even noticing our actions. Which in return will cause them to feel angry, and so on and so forth. But, if we go out into the world feeling a little lighter in our hearts and smile at a stranger, it will brighten their day and will cause a positive effect in this world.

This little 5 min flow is to help you tune into your breath and let out all of that negative energy brewing inside. You can do this anytime of the day – when you’re at work, before you leave the house, before your meetings, after a stressful conversation, when your kiddos are being cranky and you don’t know what to do with them.

Parents, I can tell you from experience, my kiddos calm down so much when we breathe together. It teaches them a different way to handle their own stress and will bring you guys closer together. This flow isn’t just for parents and kids, it’s for EVERYONE!

I invite you all to pick a quiet spot somewhere in your office or at home, do this little 5 min flow, focus on your breath, and see how you feel afterwards.
