VLOG: Spontaneous and Adventurous Beach Yoga Trip – Pine Cliff Recreation Area

Hello Yogi Friends! Happy Thursday to you! I wanted to share with you the awesome adventurous and spontaneous trip we recently went on. We have been trying to get the kids out of the area for quite some time. We heard about the Sunflower Festival in a little town called Chocowinity, NC and thought it was the perfect opportunity. We packed our bags and grabbed the kiddos and went on our way.

When we arrived at the Sunflower Festival, we saw the sunflowers blown over due to the recent Hurricane. Thankfully, we have some pretty great kids and they were still excited to be away from home. πŸ™‚ It was lots of fun. They had all sorts of games, yummy food, live music, and they even had a fossil dig which I thought was pretty cool. Kids got their face painted, and so did I… Hehehe. Hey, I’m a big kid! πŸ™‚

We went to pick out our sunflowers just as we were about to leave, and discovered a patch at the very back of the field where the sunflowers were still standing. We found lots of beautiful butterflies fluttering around and captured a couple on camera.

We were on our way out and spontaneously decided to head down to Minnesott Beach. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that Minnesott Beach was just a name and not an atual beach. πŸ˜› We drove down to the ferry and realized that Pine Cliff Recreation area was just a ferry ride away! So, on the ferry we go and enjoy the nice breeze.

We weren’t expecting anything fancy because it’s more of the river than the ocean, but were surprised at how beautiful it actually was. Clean soft sand, quiet, breezy, and beautiful sunset. We couldn’t help doing a little Beach Yoga and mindful meditation with the kiddos. I was so happy that we did this little day trip with the kiddos and that we actually found a new beautiful spot to visit.

Go out and explore! Be spontaneous! Be open to new experiences and be willing to adapt, especially if your travel with kiddos. You never know what can change. But, as long as you stay mindful and grateful for each moment, it will turn into a beautiful and wonderful experience. Always!

Hoping you guys have a super wonderful weekend ahead!
Namaste, my friends!
